Dirty Coin at FreedomFest's Anthem Film Festival 2025 🎥🌵

Last week, we brought Dirty Coin to Palm Springs for a screening at the Anthem Film Festival. The festival is part of the larger FreedomFest conference, one of the biggest gatherings in the U.S. for people who care deeply about freedom, independent thinking, and debating bold ideas.

This year, Bitcoin was everywhere. It came up on main stages, in breakout sessions, in passing conversations, and in our film.

If you’re new here, Dirty Coin is our feature documentary that explores Bitcoin mining from the ground up. It’s not a tech tutorial or a hype piece. It’s a visual journey that follows miners around the world and asks what role this misunderstood process might play in shaping a freer and more sustainable future. We visit small towns and off-grid sites and focus on the real people building quietly outside the spotlight. The film is built for the curious, especially for those who don’t already consider themselves Bitcoiners.

At FreedomFest, Dirty Coin screened alongside a powerful lineup of independent films, including Alone Together and The Bird and the Bee. Even with a full conference schedule and some heavy-hitting sessions happening at the same time, our room filled up. After the screening, we hosted a thoughtful conversation with the audience, joined by Dominic Frisby and Efrat Fenigson. Their insight and energy made the discussion feel honest, smart, and deeply engaging.

This was one of our favorite screenings to date. Not because of the crowd size, but because of the quality of the questions and the openness of the room. That’s exactly who we made this film for.

Thank you to the Anthem team for including us, and to everyone who attended. We left inspired and ready for the next stop.

If you haven’t seen Dirty Coin yet, or if you’d like to host a screening in your community, workplace, or local theater, we’d love to hear from you.
